The students of MAN 4 Jakarta have once again proven their dedication to creating impactful change, winning a gold medal at the International Innovation and Academic Science Project Olympiad (I²ASPO). Adinda Nitisara, Amira Ardiyanti, and Danish Rayhan from the Social Cambridge class along with Fauzan Nandana Afif from XI-7 and Annisa Naila Husna from XI-11 competed in the research category, their project focused on children with special needs, specifically in increasing access to disaster education. Out of 14 groups from MAN 4 Jakarta, their innovative approach stood out, showcasing not only academic excellence but also a profound commitment to inclusivity.
Preparing for this prestigious competition required months of dedication and teamwork. Students conducted various types of research, including developing educational tools, exploring sustainable solutions, and addressing societal needs. Their efforts included meticulous data collection, field testing, and thorough reporting. For example, projects like “Wadu” (Wayang Edukasi) that has been done by one of the MAN 4 group that focused on inclusivity, while other teams highlighted innovative approaches to environmental preservation and disaster preparedness. The collective commitment of these young innovators reflects their passion for making a difference on both local and global scales.
Winning the gold medal brought immense joy and motivation to the team. As they celebrated their success, they also reaffirmed their mission to inspire change and promote inclusivity. “Dream big and believe in your potential,” they shared, encouraging others to pursue their passions and embrace challenges as opportunities. Their journey is a testament to how innovation, determination, and a desire to make a difference can create meaningful contributions to society.
